New Year’s Nation returns to Portland in style. The majestic Kridel Grand Ballroom at the Portland Art Museum is one of Oregon’s premier event spaces and the perfect venue for ushering in 2010.

D.J.P. – The main event is being flown in from Vegas by way of NYC.

This Tour de Force has sold out shows for 300 to 300,000 people and promises to be the biggest draw in the Rose City for New Year’s 2010.

Danny Phillips aka D.J.P, is one of the pioneers of "blending," a style that has recently become commonly known as "mash-up." You may be familiar with GirlTalk, who has hit the scene in recent years. D.J.P is recognized as the “Godfather of the mash-up” in the industry. He has the digital revolution down but chooses not to mix Mac Books, the best part about his performance, is that he still rocks vinyl!

D.J.P finds that raw excitement and crowd-pleasing energy in the most unlikely of places: 80s New Wave, classic and alternative Rock, even Drum 'n' Bass, as well as the usual can't lose Hip Hop favorites, old and new. He can mix Pat Benatar's "Love Is A Battlefield" over the Pharcyde's classic "She Keeps On Passing Me By" and turn it into a Drum'n'Bass blend about love lost that gets everyone on their feet, even people who think they don't like hip-hop. His infamous mixes of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" and U2's "With or Without You" have become word-of-mouth classics with underground DJs.

His resume includes gigs with Beastie Boys, Green Day, Ice-T, Tone Loc, Sugar Hill Gang, Rahzel from the Roots, Cher and Cindy Lauper, The Pharcyde and Del Tha Funkee Homosapien's Hieroglyphics, D.J.Premier, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Snoop Dogg, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more.

D.J.P will be bringing in the New Year and playing from 11 PM – 1:45 AM

DJ Nature – DJ Nature is a PDX native with beloved fan fare, who attacks from every direction. A unique DJ/Producer, who skillfully spans the musical genres while keeping the energy to pack any dance floor. Based in Portland, he plays numerous nightlife venues and held a spot mixing live on the city's top radio stations. In hopes of pushing the art forward, he teaches mixing classes at Portland's own Spun Academy as well. Nature has also brought his skills on the turntablestoclubs in Seattle,Hollywood, Miami, Atlantic City, San Diego, and as far away as Ireland.
